From a young age art has been a driving force in my life. I attended high school at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and went on to the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Rhode Island. Following a creative stint in New York City and traveling to Taiwan, I designed shoes for Reebok and Candies. Later I started my own successful T-shirt company, selling to Barney's and Urban Outfitters in New York City, some of which appeared in television and print advertisements.

My paintings are vibrant and spirited pieces inspired by the intrinsic energy and beauty of nature that surrounds me. Influenced by the works of Chagall, Vlaminck, Matisse, and Emil Nolde, my expressionistic style uses color and emotion to create an experience of movement and aliveness that transports the viewer into the realm of the unexpected. I invite you into the paintings with symbols of flowers, objects, animals, faces and spirits which speak to the essence of home. These objects and images evoke memories and sentiment that complete me on a deeper level.

My brightly colored images painted with large, simple shapes of an almost primitive quality are joyful and fun to view. I live in beautiful rural Massachusetts with my husband and four dogs.
